ratt

Hi. Excuse me writing in English. I have a Niva in Sweden but I don't like the Niva's original steering wheel. I like the Volvo with square design and there are many for sale used. I'd like to know if it is easy to fit an old Volvo steering wheel into a Niva. If it is universal/compatible and straightforward. I welcome any suggestion of other types of steering wheels.. I attached a picture of the back of a Volvo wheel that I like. It shows a feature that makes me doubtful. Also bolt thread/diameter etc. I've never done anything like that before. Tack

Hi.
I have no direct answer to your question, but you might want to get familiar with the original setup, by removing the steering wheel and check how the setup works, what with the turn signal, horn contacts etc. Once you have a picture of that, you may be able to select a suitable steering wheel that you like.

Wheels can be found at places like https://www.hansenracing.se/c/rattar/170306
but you'll probably need a steering wheel hub to adapt the steering wheel to the shaft.

I have no idea if the Volvo wheel is suitable, but it does look a bit "deeper" than the original, and it may affect the driver's position when seated (for better or for worse).

Good luck!
